Description
TF-Works K-Series Bosch Flat-Response Knock Sensor Conversion Kit
Upgrade your Honda K-Series engine with modern knock-detection technology. The TF-Works Bosch Flat-Response Knock Sensor Conversion Kit replaces the aging OEM K20/K24 resonant-type sensor with a Bosch flat-response sensor, providing more accurate and tunable knock feedback for standalone ECUs.
Why Upgrade?
The factory K-series knock sensor is a resonant type, tuned to a narrow frequency band that matches the stock bore size. While this works for OEM calibrations, it limits knock detection accuracy once you change away from OEM components. The Bosch flat-response sensor offers a wide frequency range and linear output, allowing your ECU to precisely identify detonation events across varying engine builds — whether naturally aspirated or turbocharged.
Key Benefits
-
Improved knock sensitivity across the entire frequency spectrum
-
Compatible with modern ECUs (Link, Haltech, MaxxECU, MoTeC, etc.) that support wideband knock input
-
More stable and consistent readings
-
Plug-and-play mounting hardware included — no guesswork or fabrication required
Kit Includes
-
Genuine Bosch flat-response knock sensor
-
Knock sensor stud adapter
-
Flange nut for secure installation
-
Fits all K20 / K24 engines using standard block mounting location
Installation Notes
-
Direct bolt-on replacement for OEM Honda knock sensor
-
Requires ECU calibration for the new sensor’s flat frequency response
-
Recommended when converting to aftermarket engine management or building high-output K-series applications
