Rear shock towers on BMW's are a known weak point, and highly recommended they be reinforced when going with stiffer shocks or true coilovers.
These can be used to repair or used as reinforcement.
Plates are precision laser cut, which can be welded in or simply bolted in.
Many reinforcement plates are just coated mild steel which can rust. These are 304 stainless steel, which will not rust.
