Description
"G16E-GTS" short block with increased displacement
that uses a "triple tumble" piston.
 The block is processed to a closed deck to suppress
cylinder deformation and to handle high combustion
pressure.
 The flow of cooling water changes when the deck is
closed, but we have optimized it by processing water
jackets.
 Addition of a cooling water jacket to the No. 2 cylinder,
assuming the use of the "Grommet Head Gasket
SUPER COOLING Pro".
 The deck surface has been ground to improve
flatness.
 Boring has been performed to improve the cylindricity
of the cylinder. After processing, the main gallery is
thoroughly cleaned to reduce the risk of trouble.
 We use a high-compression machined piston with
HKS' unique "triple tumble" shape. By effectively
generating tumble flow and suppressing knocking.
High compression and high boost are also possible.
The piston also uses a "BCD (bridge structure)" that is
both lightweight and highly rigid.
 We use a machined I-Beam STEP3 connecting rod. It
is 25% stronger than the original, improving allowable
torque.
 The crankshaft is machined from chrome steel. The
inertia weight has been reduced by efficiently
positioning the counterweight and reducing the weight
of the pin.
 The main bearings and connecting rod bearings are
made of highly durable materials.
Note: Stock balance shafts cannot be used with this setup.
