    ISR Exhaust

This is exhaust is a work of art. Haven't installed it yet but when it comes to quality of the product in general it is very well made. Can't wait to install it and see how it sounds!

Easy Install/Great Rumble, loud but not obnoxious

Posted by Caleb Loney on 2nd May 2020

This exhaust is great! I have a 1996 Miata Base with the 1.8 motor. This exhaust bolted right up with little to no issues. One of the hardest parts was getting it hung up with the new hangers I bought since they were fairly stiff. The other hardest part was getting the O2 sensor oriented correctly (since I have a 96 I have a downstream O2 sensor too). I just had to take the slack off of the plastic clip and I had plenty of cable to work with. The hardest part was getting the included O2 sensor defouler oriented right and tightening it up. But once those two things were done the system bolted together great! This exhaust is loud, but it’s only obnoxious if you are constantly at high RPMs, otherwise the rumble is nice and low (reminds me of a boxer motor with UEL headers). The drone is not bad but it's there, I have a windscreen which seems to help with the drone a bit when the top is down. All in all awesome exhaust, highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable aftermarket replacement.

PS: Spray the nuts that connect the cat to the down pipe with a PB blaster everyday up until you remove your exhaust, I did that and with my ½ impact got the bolts of no problem. Also, sound is based ofd the exhaust connected to a stock manifold.

    Best Sound And Peformance

Posted by Nicholas on 13th Jan 2016

This exhaust is by far the best for the 1.8L Miata! It bolted right up to my 1996 M Edition Miata! Took awhile to ship to me, like 3 weeks but I guess it was better than having to pay for shipping.
